Ali Mattingly
Ali first came to yoga on a mission for self-care to balance a busy lifestyle. She quickly learned that the teachings of yoga offer much more, and over time, found a deep appreciation for how the practice kept her curious, made her more self-aware, and enabled her to be more present on and off the mat. In 2017, Ali embarked on her first 200-hour teacher training at Bliss Body Yoga in Raleigh, NC, and in 2022, Ali completed a 100-hour advanced teacher training with Gopi Kinnicutt at Yoga Mandali in Saratoga Springs, NY.
In Ali's asana classes, you can expect playful, creative sequences rooted in vinyasa and hatha traditions. Designed for all levels, students are given the tools to flow between postures mindfully and link their breath to the movement. Ali's teaching style is a blend of the many mentors that come before her, inspiring her to select postures with intention and offer intuitive, fluid, and anatomically-balanced sequences.
Off the mat, Ali works remotely as the Director of Community Engagement at Yoga Alliance, a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to supporting the global yoga community and the communities they serve. Ali believes that the more people who practice yoga, the better the world will be because yoga empowers us to show up fully, engage mindfully, and act with kindness.
