"True Yoga is not about the shape of your body...
but about the shape of your life. Yoga is not to be performed; yoga is to be lived. Yoga doesn't care about what you have been; yoga cares about the person you are becoming. Yoga is designed for a vast and profound purpose, and for it to truly be called yoga, its essence must be embodied."
Flow & Grow Kids Yoga Teacher Training
June 9-11, 2017 | Taught by Lara Hocheiser of Flow & Grow Kids Yoga
Now more than ever, kids are in need of healthy skills to manage stress and cope with difficult emotions. Increased school workloads, heightened expectations, even social and political adversity can increase a child’s stress level. Integrating yoga and mindfulness practices into their lives not only helps kids to relax when they feel upset, discouraged, or depressed; but it also helps them to live in a state of higher awareness and put their stresses into perspective. Just like adults, kids who practice yoga are more likely to be focused, less reactive, and live happier, healthier lives.
Flow and Grow Kids Yoga Teacher Training is ideal for educators, clinicians, childcare workers, parents, and anyone who loves working with children and teens. The weekend training teaches participants how to create a dynamic curriculum that stimulates, empowers, calms and strengthens our next generation. Learn child development, classroom management, the impact of praise, and other relevant theories and practices regarding yoga and education. Graduates will leave with the tools to empower children to become strong, mindful, balanced individuals and leaders!

Flow and Grow Founder and Program Director, Lara Hocheiser, E-RTY, RCYT, B.A., has spent the last 15 years working in early education, and 12 of those years studying and living the path of yoga. Lara is the founder and program director of Flow and Grow Kids Yoga, which offers children’s yoga classes, teacher trainings, and professional development workshops. Lara has been invited to speak at universities, schools, childcare centers, and yoga studios as the expert on yoga for early childhood. She manages a team of instructors, a busy yoga-teaching schedule working with schools, yoga studios, and private clients. Lara has come to understand yoga as an important tool in building a culture of wellness, empathy, and connectedness. She continues to share yoga through education directly to the child, and perhaps more pivotally, to the educator, clinician, and parent who plant the seeds for the children of the world to harvest.
