Jael brings strength, grace, and a calming energy to her artfully crafted yoga sequences. As a student of yogic philosophy, Jael connects her practice to traditional texts while using her steady, centering energy to help her students through the challenges in the practice. Jael has worked with beginners, athletes, and experienced yogis and is open and sensitive to the needs of her students.

Jael has practiced yoga for over 20 years, originally finding it to be a welcome relief from her career as an environmental attorney in Washington, DC. She has been a dedicated student at Yoga Mandali since moving to Saratoga Springs in 2010. Soon after moving here, her yoga practice took on a whole new meaning after a serious skiing injury and difficult rehabilitation. Instead of being a fun workout and way to release stress, yoga became integral to healing both her body and her spirit, a process which eventually lead her to pursue her RYT 200-hour teacher certification at Yoga Mandali in Saratoga Springs, NY, with Gopi Kinnicutt and Keli Lalita Reddy.

Jael is a native Texan, and if you listen carefully to her cues, you can still hear a slight twang. Jael now lives in Saratoga Springs with her husband, three teenage children, and five pets. When she’s not practicing yoga, she spends her time reading, gardening, and driving carpool (but mostly driving carpool).
